The worst thing about PSVR2 is the controller situation. 1. bad battery life and 2. cannot buy them stand alone.
- tracking is not great
Yeah, it could definitely be better.
Really? I haven’t had any tracking issues. Battery life is good for me too. Maybe I got lucky. Only downside is how easy it is to hit the controllers together during gameplay, and yeah, not being able to buy them separately is frustrating.
Try Beat Saber on expert mode.
I really wish they would port the VR updates for Resident Evil to PC.
Yeah, but if they won’t even port Bloodborne, there’s no way they’ll fund ports for VR titles.
Capcom would have to handle that, not Sony. If the exclusivity deal ends, maybe it could happen. Sony could port GT7 with its VR mode or Call of the Mountain, but nothing else much.
GT7 will never get a port, that’s for sure.
Maybe not to PCVR, but the normal game might, considering Sony’s strategy. They’re just taking their time.
Not happening. Polyphony Digital is stubborn, like Nintendo with their IPs.
Polyphony is owned by Sony, so they do what they’re told. Ports are often done by other studios anyway, like Nixxes.
If that were true, we’d see remasters of Gran Turismo 1, 2, or 3 by now. They haven’t even done that. Polyphony just shut down GT Sport servers without providing any alternative saving options.
There’s a pretty good VR mod available. Check it out.
Unless you’re left-handed… I don’t think they’ve fixed that issue yet.
Sony releasing promising hardware only to abandon it is becoming a pattern.
It’s not just them. I don’t get why companies invest millions in VR and then don’t capitalize. Sure, Meta is still pouring billions into it, but companies like Sony, Microsoft, and Valve seem to give up too quickly.
They try, and when it doesn’t work, they focus on things that do. Meta is still burning through cash trying to make VR a thing, but not every company is willing to do that.
Yeah, capitalism is dumb. No one thinks beyond the next quarter. It’s discouraging any long-term investment.
