I’ve noticed that most archery games don’t feel as good as The Lab’s archery. In a lot of games, they won’t let you bring the arrow close to your face like The Lab does, which really breaks the immersion. The Lab is one of the oldest VR games, but somehow newer archery games still haven’t nailed that same feeling. Why haven’t they just copied it?
I’ve played many great archery games too, and honestly, I don’t see The Lab as being that much better. It’s good, but other games are just as fun.
The Lab still holds up even today, I find myself revisiting it now and then.
I’m currently working on a VR game where the bow is a primary tool for navigating the environment. It’s almost on par with what The Lab has to offer.
That is great. waiting to see how your game turns out.
You guys should try In Death, it has fantastic archery too
I don’t agree. Games like In Death: Unchained have near-perfect bow physics for me.
I’ve always enjoyed the archery in In Death. I agree
Holopoint has incredibly satisfying archery. When I miss, it feels like it’s my fault.
It was one of my first VR games from back in 2016.
