What was your biggest VR accident experience? Let me share mine

Hey! After two weeks of getting used to VR and trying to separate the VR world from the real world, I finally managed to obliterate my lamp. One day, I was in a shooter game using a magic wand, and I hit the lamp with my right controller. The lamp’s glass shattered everywhere. Thankfully, my controller survived, but I had to play in the dark for weeks after that. What’s your VR accident story?

Mine was punching the wall with my controller. My hand was bleeding, and it hurt for two days. The controller got scuffed too!

Ouch! That sounds painful. Controllers really take a beating in VR, don’t they?

I was playing Creed and ducked under a punch, which made my headset fly off and hit the wall. Then, while playing Walking Dead at night, I punched a metal cup, and it flew across the room, hitting my sleeping girlfriend. She woke up screaming, drenched in ice water. It was a mess!

That’s hilarious, but I bet she was not amused :joy:

I slammed a pint glass on the table while playing BoneLab and nearly cut my finger in half. I had a shard of glass lodged in my middle finger. Not fun.

Damn, that’s intense! Hope you’re all healed up now.

Yeah, stitches and a scar, but I’m all good. Thanks!

I stuck my Vive controller through my ceiling fan. The controller survived, but the fan didn’t

Haha, ceiling fans are a VR player’s worst enemy!

I haven’t had any major accidents yet, but I’ve bumped into my jewelry stand more times than I can count!

Jewelry stands seem like an unexpected hazard! Let’s hope it stays minor for you!
