What do you think about Bosch's new AR smart glasses module

Bosch just dropped a new module for AR smart glasses that projects images directly onto the retina using lasers. It’s supposed to be super bright and clear, even outside. Plus, it works with prescription lenses and weighs only 40 grams. Sounds pretty cool, right? Does anyone have thoughts on this?

Sounds perfectly safe

Yes, what could go wrong with beaming lasers directly into your eyeballs?

You can just get the new iBallsProMaxUltra after it gets evaporated

Yeah photons in eyeballs could cause serious issues.

I heard North had similar tech before. Did they really beam lasers into the retina? Sounds wild!

Are you sure they were beaming lasers directly into the retina? AFAIK, they used wave guides.

I think they did use some kind of projection. But yeah, it’s all a bit confusing lol.

You should check out poLight ASA, they are doing some interesting stuff with LBS. Here’s a link to some patents.

You should take a look at poLight ASA, they are my best bet for how to make this LBS possible. I´ll link some patents:

poLight and Brighterwave made a demonstrator for the scanning engine some years back, and it seems Bosch is using the same mechanisms.
