What are some of your favorite Augmented Reality apps?

For my part, I really enjoy Ingress. Playing it is enjoyable and a terrific way to explore new parts of your city.

Another awesome resource is Google Sky Map, particularly for astronomy enthusiasts.

Another entertaining software is DroidShooting; it’s a casual game. Not incredibly excellent, but also not poorly done.

Additionally, my Z1s includes an AR camera app that allows you to add 3D objects to your pictures; it’s entertaining but a little gimmicky.

Additionally, there’s Google Goggles, which I do occasionally use and which is helpful in some circumstances.

I’ve given Layar a try, but it doesn’t seem to be very well thought out or helpful.

What say you? Which AR apps are the best, in your opinion?

Pixar has created augmented reality short films for the Moto X.

They just appeared one day, and I was unaware of them. I don’t believe other phones can download it. I might be mistaken.

It’s a cool app that uses your GPS to tell you about the mountains around you. It works without data, which is great when you’re on a hike or something. I would like to see a KitKat update with immersive mode.

colAR Mix is a fun activity for youngsters. They can colour in various objects from the internet and then view their work on a phone to see their design projected into an animated 3D model.

Sorry im almost a day late but you all have to check out Warp Runner it’s an amazing augmented reality game in which you manipulate the playing surface to get your character to the goal all in augmented reality and there is no need to use a marker because it creates a marker from the picture you take before starting the level.

Also worth mentioning Augment another great augmented reality app which lets you view 3d models on any surface.
