Remember PS3 3D games? You can play them now with VR and emulation

Hey everyone! So I was reminiscing about PS3 3D games and how they kinda faded away with the whole home 3D display thing. But guess what? With the RPCS3 emulator and Virtual Desktop, it’s super easy to jump back into those games! Just tried Shadow of the Colossus and Uncharted 3. Sure, they look a bit dated, but it’s awesome to experience them in 3D again. If you have any fond memories of these games, I totally recommend giving it a shot!

I just picked up a used 32" LG 3D TV to play my PS3 games in 3D. They look surprisingly great but the crosstalk can be a pain. VR fixes that though!

That’s so cool! I’ve got a 3D projector I’m thinking of dusting off. How’s the quality on your TV?

Yeah, crosstalk can be annoying. I’ve heard VR is way better for that!

What about other games? Are there any other PS3 titles that support 3D?

For sure! ICO and the Shadow of the Colossus collection both have 3D support. Also, check out God of War Origins Collection and Killzone 3!

Oh nice! I loved Ratchet & Clank. Does it have 3D support?

I heard the emulators can boost performance too. Anyone tried that?

Yeah! The emulators really help with resolution. It’s like playing a new game!

I wonder how the latency would be if I capture my PS3 and view it on my PC with Virtual Desktop. Any ideas?

From what I know, you won’t get 3D that way unless your setup can handle it. Stick with RPCS3 for the best experience.

I’m curious about this whole VR thing. How does it even work with older games?

It’s pretty cool! The emulator can render the games in side-by-side formats for 3D. You just need a VR headset to enjoy it.
