Quick question for the ones with insurance coverage for glasses

Hasn’t someone here tried using their insurance provider to buy smart glasses? What did you do to ensure you could get them covered? I still can’t believe I managed to buy Gucci glasses for my eyesight using insurance. If it’s possible to get RayNeos covered (or something else), that would be amazing. Sorry for my grammar—feel free to fix it.

I haven’t personally tried it, but I think it depends on your insurance plan. Some might cover smart glasses if they have a prescription option.

Yeah, I’ve heard that too. It’s worth checking with your provider to see what their policies are on smart glasses.

I managed to get my smart glasses covered, but I had to provide a prescription and make sure they were listed as an approved item by my insurance.

That’s good to know! Did you have to go through a specific retailer to get them covered?

Yes, my provider had a list of approved retailers. It made the process a lot easier.

I think you should definitely ask your optometrist. They might have recommendations for how to get smart glasses covered.

That’s a great idea! I’ll definitely bring it up next time I go.
