I hope this isn’t a stupid question, but I’m a budget baller and trying not to spend too much. Can I use a Quest with my PC to use Pico trackers without having a Pico headset? I know they don’t work standalone, but I’m hoping to get them working through SteamVR, maybe with something like the SlimeVR interface. Any info would be super helpful!
Pico trackers only work with Pico headsets. They use a proprietary 2.4 GHz protocol, so you’re kinda out of luck there.
That’s a bummer. What’s the best budget option for Quest then?
The only budget option is SlimeVR, but just a heads up, you get what you pay for. If you’re handy, you could build it yourself for about $120-150.
Zamn. L for me. Guess I’ll have to rethink my setup.
Yeah, it’s tough finding affordable solutions. Maybe just save up for the full setup?
Have you thought about looking into DIY options? Sometimes you can find good guides online that are budget-friendly.
I’d recommend checking out forums or YouTube for some DIY SlimeVR setups. People share their experiences and tips!
If you really want to use the Pico trackers, saving up for the headset might be the best long-term investment.
