Non-Gamer VR Gamers Unite... who else feels this way?

I’m curious how many others are in my boat. I’m 38 and played flat games until I was about 14. After years away from gaming, I discovered VR in 2016 and got hooked! I bought a high-end PC to fully dive into VR. I’ve tried flat games like Call of Duty and Cyberpunk, but they just don’t hold my interest at all. I play VR about 3-4 hours daily, and if VR disappeared, I’d probably move on to another hobby. Is there anyone else out there who loves VR but can’t stand flat gaming?

I’m 48 and feel the same! I haven’t played flat games in years. VR is just way more fun for me. I love the physical aspect of it!

Sounds like we’re in the same boat. Not many seem to feel this way, though.

I’m 48 too! After years away from gaming, I got a Q2 and loved it. I also feel VR is just more immersive and natural.

I switched from speedruns of retro games to VR. I feel like flat gaming peaked in the 90s. VR is the next step!

I’m the same age and VR has completely taken over my gaming life. Flat games just don’t do it for me anymore.

I’m also 38 and jumped into VR after years of not gaming. I bought a Quest 2 but haven’t touched flat games since!

I still jump between both, but I find VR so much more engaging. I can’t wait for the tech to improve!

I’m 41 and play VR daily. It’s my main hobby now! I love the immersion it provides.

It’s cool that VR is bringing in new gamers. I just hope we keep getting new content for it!

I rediscovered gaming at 30 and now I work in a VR arcade. VR is where it’s at for me!

I played classic flatscreen games as a kid, but VR has brought back that excitement. It feels fresh again!

Agreed! Nostalgia hits hard. Are you playing Dr. Beef ports too? They’re fantastic!
