'Neon Genesis Evangelion' To Release VR Game In 2026

I just read that ‘Neon Genesis Evangelion’ is set to release a VR game in 2026, and I’m pretty excited about it. The idea of stepping into that world sounds amazing. Imagine being able to save Asuka and Misato or have interactions with the characters. What are your thoughts? Are you looking forward to this game or have concerns about it?

End of Evangelion VR. You can this time save Asuka and Misato, also kill Shinji. God, I need it.

“Get in the fucking VR headset Shinji”

As long as I get to visit Asuka in the hospital, I’m down.

This is the first scene in the game. The only other scene is a fold-up chair in a spotlight.

We’re all so fucked up.

It’s like I’m really not getting in a mech in real life! Plans for a trilogy and ‘XR’ make me assume it will be Oculus exclusive, though, so I’m not about to get excited. We shall see.

Quest 2 & Odyssey+ obligatory: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5jMtOJxUKg

Duh, everyone knows it’s a robot.

Okay, but which original 25th episode?

I bet it’s a port of the little experience thing that already exists.

Time for an existential crisis boys.

Rug pull - the game is a life sim prequel where you get to experience the trauma of each pilot. No mech fights, but you can watch the Yui contact experiment in first person!

I was just thinking today that I really wish there was a VR Mech game for the Quest 3.

I’d get excited, but Attack on Titan taught me there’s no such thing as an easy slam dunk.

It better not be fucking exclusive to quest like the gundam game is.

I have a feeling that one has a temporary exclusivity contract and we’ll be seeing it on the AVP sooner or later.

If this is another good idea ruined by BS Meta exclusivity…

Valve can also use their money if they wanted to. Maybe you should redirect that anger.

Quest 3, Vision Pro, PSVR2. Valve and Sony refuse to invest in VR, what is BS about it?
