Meta updated something, and now my Quest 2 is basically bricked

I can’t use any buttons on the UI because of a Wi-Fi issue. It’s stuck trying to connect to my old Wi-Fi, and now it’s useless.

Might just be the sign to smash it with a sledgehammer and switch to a PSVR2 instead.

Try connecting to Wi-Fi using the phone app. I had the same issue, and for some reason, connecting through the app worked for me.

It worked for me too. It is either this or setting up a mobile hotspot with the same name as the original Wi-Fi SSID.

Yep, I’ve faced this issue too. I use a separate router for PCVR, so my Quest 2 needs to connect to the house Wi-Fi. I have to turn off my dedicated router before starting up the Quest 2. It’s pretty annoying.

“Smash it with a sledgehammer” :joy: if you do, please post the video…

On a serious note, PSVR2 is a great choice, or you might want to check out the Pico 4 Ultra.

Before you go sledgehammer mode, maybe try contacting support? They might be able to help without the drastic measures :joy:

Had Wi-Fi issues with mine too. Fixed it by switching routers. I know it’s a hassle, but maybe try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network

Sounds like Meta’s updates are doing more harm than good lately.

That’s rough. Have you tried a factory reset? It might be a pain, but it could get it back up and running.

Same thing happened to me last month. I ended up resetting the whole thing, and it worked, but I was this close to smashing mine too.
