Hey everyone, I recently spent some time with Shiftall at CES 2025, both on the stage floor and in private. I measured the FOV of the MeganeX Superlight 8K using WIMFOV and Risa2000 HMDQ. I wanted to share my experience with the headset and some details about it. Comfort is usually my top priority when it comes to VR headsets, and while the weight of the Superlight 8K is fine, the strap isn’t very comfortable and puts some pressure on my forehead. It does produce a bit of heat, which I noticed but didn’t find too bothersome. The facial interface could also be improved, as it tends to slip around. I think a top strap is definitely needed.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Comfort is such a big deal for long sessions. Did you notice any other issues?
I find it interesting that Risa2000 showed 2560x2560 per eye. Did the visuals seem higher than that?
What about the optics? You mentioned some pupil swim. Is that something that could be fixed?
How was the tracking? You said it was lighthouse tracking; did it work well?
Thanks for the measurements too. I noticed you linked WIMFOV and Risa2000. Any chance you could share more on those?
