Is the PSVR2 Worth it for PCVR at $350?

Hey folks, I just saw a Black Friday deal for the PSVR2 at $350 and I’m wondering if it’s worth it for PCVR. I’m currently using the Meta Quest 2, but honestly, it gets super blurry and PC games just don’t look great to me. I’ve heard that the Quest 3 has amazing visuals with those pancake lenses, but the OLED display on the PSVR2 really catches my eye. I also have a PS5 I could use, but nothing in the PS catalog really excites me. I’ve got a 4080 and a 7800x3D, so I’m looking to play games like Metro Awakening and Half-Life Alyx. What do you all think? Should I go for it or look for something else?

If you’re looking for better visuals, the PSVR2 is definitely an upgrade from the Quest 2. The OLED display is fantastic!

But what about the games? Is there enough to play on PS5 that makes it worth it?

Honestly, if you already have a powerful setup, you might get more out of a dedicated PCVR headset instead.

Yeah, I agree. Something like the Index or even the HP Reverb G2 could be better for PC gaming.

The PSVR2 is a great headset, but if you’re mainly into PC games, you might not fully utilize it. Just my 2 cents.

That makes sense. You want to get the most bang for your buck, right?

I think the visuals on the PSVR2 are worth it, especially if you can use it on PS5 too. It’s basically two headsets in one!

But will you be satisfied with the PS library? That’s a big factor.

If you can wait, maybe see what new PCVR headsets come out next year. Prices might drop or new tech could be revealed.
