Is Meta Horizons Hurting Game Visibility in the Store

Why is Meta making it harder to find games? I searched for a title and it didn’t show up at all in the store. I had to buy it through the browser. What is going on here? This can’t be good for developers.

You are completely right.

Yeah, it’s odd that they showcase all these free Roblox-style games at the top instead of real games.

I usually buy apps through the website or the store app in the headset. The phone app is mainly for my wishlist. The store button takes me to a page that shows new releases. The search feature could use some improvement to better handle spelling mistakes.

I’m not talking about the phone app. I don’t want to use my phone to find games. This is definitely a problem affecting visibility. Sure, it’s a small issue, but little things add up. Meta has the data; they don’t make things harder on purpose. I just don’t get why.

What game are you looking for? I haven’t had trouble finding new releases.

I was looking for SteamLink. I stopped using the PC app because it took up too much space. I could only find it through a link; it wasn’t showing in the store. This was two weeks ago.

That was around the time we all complained on Twitter about the store being messed up. It changed for me a few days after the Batman release and just before Metro came out.

Glad that’s fixed. I hope they address the visibility of Horizons Worlds next and give us an option to turn it off.

ForeVR Darts doesn’t show up for me on the headset, but it’s available in the app and on the web store.

If you type in ‘forevr’, it brings up all related games, and darts is the first one listed in the store app.

I thought you were discussing the phone app. You didn’t clarify that in your post.

What does Horizon have to do with the store app’s poor search function?

I might have meant the store in the headset, but Horizons being prioritized is hurting visibility. I just want an option to turn it off.
