The only noteworthy feature here is the eye tracking, but seriously, we want OLED and pancake lenses already.

Deffo - Would be a serious option since its FOV is @ 120 plus the things you mentioned…

With eye and face tracking, wireless capability, inside-out tracking (no need for lighthouse setup), and support for up to 5 body trackers and finger tracking, I can see this being a big hit with the dedicated VR Chat community. They’re known for spending hundreds on peripherals to get that perfect VR Chat experience.
So the Quest 3 is still the better choice.

They noticed the Quest 3 used Fresnel lenses, so they had to include them in this new headset to stay competitive.
It seems like Vive is determined to undermine themselves at every turn. The original Vive was a standout, but every headset they’ve released since then has felt outdated and disappointing.

I just want to know if it’s comfortable. I’m not fussed about the lenses or screen tech, what I need is something light, comfy, and reliable.

If this was 300-400 it would be a great headset. 3x that, not so much.
You gotta respect HTC perseverance.
