HAGS or no HAGS? What's your take?

I’ve been experimenting with the Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS) setting in Windows, and I gotta say, I feel it improves performance for me. My specs are a 4070Ti Super and a 7800x3d. But I’ve seen a lot of people online suggesting to turn it off. Why do you think that is? Do you have HAGS on or off?

For some headsets, it just doesn’t improve anything, that’s why. Maybe it’s better now than it used to be, but I guess it depends on your setup.

I have a similar setup with a PSVR2, and I just leave HAGS on. I haven’t noticed any major difference, to be honest. Could be leftover advice from Windows 10. It might help more on lower-spec PCs, but I’m not sure.

HAGS caused a lot of issues for VR titles when it first came out. But I’ve noticed improvements, especially with Windows 11. It seems like it’s not as problematic now.

Yeah, I think the general advice is to leave it on for Windows 11 and turn it off for Windows 10. That’s what I’ve heard, at least.
