I’ve never experienced VR but have been interested in it for a long time. Games like Resident Evil 7/Village VR, Half Life Alyx, and Batman Arkham Shadow really intrigue me, and I’m finally considering buying a headset. My main concerns have been the high price, limited selection, and the need for frequent upgrades. I’m aware of the PSVR2, Valve Index, and Meta Quest 3. Which headset offers the best overall VR experience, tech, and game selection? Is there one that allows me to play all the titles I mentioned? Also, should I wait for the VR scene to develop further before making a purchase? I want to avoid buying an outdated headset. Thanks!
Your first headset won’t be your last. There is no ‘Best VR Headset’. If you’re looking for a good price, check the Pico 4. For a higher-end experience, go for the PSVR2 and a PS5. It plays Resident Evil 7 and 8 in the best quality and has many great PCVR titles as well.
Quest 3 has exclusives and can play RE7 VR mod when connected to PC.
The Quest 3 is the only headset that can play Arkham Shadow. It also plays Half-Life Alyx and all PCVR games. It’s considered the best value and should last a while.
There is no best headset. It depends on your preferences. For beginners, the Quest 3 is a great all-around choice. You can play RE7 and RE8 via VR mods on a powerful gaming PC, and PSVR2 offers official versions for those games too.
