I loved HL Alyx but I’m not looking for something like that. I want something more fast-paced with satisfying shooting.
I already played the HL2VR mod and that’s probably closest to what I’m looking for. Also played MoH: Above and Beyond and it had good shooting but too many gimmicky gameplay sections.
Bonus points if it has a satisfying shotgun.
Hard bullet might be something if you want no bullshit gunplay, just an arena shooter though.

You can also play Unreal Tournament 1 with the upcoming Deus Ex VR mod, Surreal98. It offers a pretty fast-paced experience too.
Into the Radius might not be as fast-paced, but its immersion really elevates the realistic gunplay, making it all the more satisfying.

As someone diving into VR this weekend, I’m curious what’s the difference between Alyx and HL2VR that made you prefer the latter?
I wouldn’t say I actually prefer HL2VR over Alyx. I enjoy them both equally. It’s just not the kind of game I’m in the mood for right now. Alyx is more slow-paced. You don’t run around blasting lots of enemies.
I haven’t played it myself, but you might want to check out Crossfire: Sierra Squad.
