As someone who’s been a Quest PCVR gamer since the Quest 2, I loved the clarity of the Q3 but decided to grab a PSVR2 while it was on sale. Initially, I was disappointed with the blurriness and ghosting in Horizon, although I did appreciate the colors and haptics. I thought I’d wasted my money. After a night of impulse buying a PC adapter and BT dongle, I faced some tracking issues but eventually got it all working smoothly. Playing Alyx was a revelation—the colors and true pitch black were stunning! While clarity is still a concern, it’s much better on PC than on PS5. Now, I’m torn between using both headsets, as they each have their strengths. I plan to play Behemoth on my Quest for now. Thanks for reading!
It sounds like you’ve had quite the journey! The clarity differences between the platforms can be drastic, but it seems like you’re finding a good balance.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying Alyx! It really showcases what VR can do. The PSVR2 has its quirks, but the experience can be amazing once it’s set up right.
Have you tried adjusting the lens spacing? That sometimes helps with clarity on PSVR2.
I think the PC experience will always edge out the console for clarity and performance. But it’s great that you’re getting more out of both headsets!
I still prefer the Quest for convenience, but it’s hard to deny the immersive power of the PSVR2 when it’s set up properly.
