AR glasses need a better input method... anyone else think so?

I’ve been reading a lot about how we can input stuff into AR glasses, and honestly, it’s a bit of a mess. I have a pair that uses temples, a ring, and voice control. None of them really work well for me. Temples only slide in one direction, the ring is bulky and uncomfortable, and voice control is awkward in public. I mean, why isn’t there a better solution? I’ve been thinking of a small, detachable Bluetooth touchpad. Anyone know if this exists or if there are prototypes?

I totally agree! Something simple would make a huge difference. Maybe it could attach to a ring or a wristband too?

Exactly! If they made it portable, it could really help with usability.

What about using a smartwatch? They could integrate it with the glasses, right?

Yea, I was thinking that too! Smartwatches are pretty convenient.

I mean, how would you hook a watch onto your glasses, though? That sounds awkward.

LOL, I was thinking of some kind of clip. Just an idea, though!

There are apps that let you use a smartwatch as a pointer. Have you tried anything like that?

Not yet! Got any recommendations? Would love to check it out.

For real, hand and eye tracking seems like a better direction than adding more gadgets.

True! The more wearables we have, the less practical it gets for casual use.

I heard about Nimo Planet. It has a touchpad and it works pretty well. Anyone tried it?

Yeah! I’ve heard about it, but never seen it in action. How good is it?

I saw a demo once, and it seemed promising! Might be worth checking out.
