I’ve been hearing a lot about Nreal Light and I’m curious to learn more. What exactly is it, and what are its key features? Is it worth checking out if I’m interested in augmented reality?
Also, if anyone has personal experience with Nreal Light, what did you think of it? Any pros or cons?
The Nreal Light is an AR headset that resembles sunglasses. It’s made to offer a complete AR experience by adding digital content on top of the real world.
In your place I would not take xreal as a developer, the sdk from them are bad, the company has no recognition value. And bang out one unfinished product after another (e.g. beam, air2, etc).
If you have time, you should check out Rokid AR Studio, it should be out soon.
Or you can opt for a better and unfortunately more expensive product, e.g. holo. In my validation and evaluation, I discarded xreal as not suitable for our office and labotory, and prefer other manufacturers who know what they are doing.
Six days of food are not necessary. You cannot use this as a VR headset since it is not one. It has no controllers either. Furthermore, even if you could, the FOV is absurdly little. Wouldn’t feel at all like VR.
