Looking for a high-resolution VR headset with face tracking preferably just eye tracking, as I already purchased a lip tracker. I was considering the Pimax Crystal, which has both high resolution and eye tracking, but its controllers don’t look the best. I was not planning on purchasing the Quest 2 Pro, as it is not directly linked, and it is not worth it until I can get a better wifi link than 6Ge. So, for under $3,000, which VR with eye tracking is the best?

I have never used different brands so I cannot give a suggestion based on comparison. But I currently use the HTC Vive Pro 2 and maybe you can give it a try too.
It has a 4896 x 2448 combined resolution. In addition, it is equipped with eye tracking which is available with the Vive Pro Eye upgrade.
Given your specific needs, the Pimax Crystal could be a strong option, offering high resolution and built-in eye tracking to enhance your VR experience. However, if you’re concerned about the controller design, exploring other alternatives might be beneficial.
Here are a few other VR headsets that provide high resolution and eye tracking within your budget:
- Varjo Aero:
- Known for: Outstanding image quality, comfortable fit, and advanced eye tracking.
- Pros: Excellent resolution, precise eye tracking, and ergonomic design.
- Cons: Generally more expensive compared to other models.
- Pico 4 Enterprise:
- Known for: Affordable pricing, solid performance, and integrated eye tracking.
- Pros: Cost-effective, good resolution, and eye tracking features.
- Cons: May offer slightly lower resolution compared to higher-end models.
