Hey everyone, after two years of diving into VR as both a fan and a watcher, I’ve realized that VR will gradually become mainstream. At first, I thought a single game or headset would just blow the doors wide open, but it looks like it’s going to be a slow and steady rise instead. With all these incremental updates in headsets and more developers getting on board, we’re definitely making progress, even if it takes a while. That’s totally fine with me . Just to clarify, I mean as mainstream as console gaming! Oh, and wow, this post turned into quite the discussion—didn’t see that coming! Hope you all had a great day and are gearing up for a good night
I totally agree! It feels like every year we get a little closer. What do you think will be the next big step?
Maybe a killer app that really hooks people? Like how Wii Sports did for the Wii.
Honestly, I think it’s just about more people trying it out. Once they do, they see the potential!
I hope so! I’ve been waiting for VR to take off. It’s so immersive, but it feels niche still.
Right? But I think as hardware gets cheaper, more folks will jump in.
I’m still on the fence about it. What makes it worth the investment for you guys?
For me, it’s the experience! I’ve tried some games that were just mind-blowing.
I think once social VR takes off, that’s when we’ll see it go mainstream. Imagine hanging out with friends in a virtual space!
Exactly! It could change how we interact completely. I can’t wait for that!
