I purchased Star Wars Squadrons and BallisticNG because they support VR but aren’t what I expected regarding controller input. Now, I’m only looking for games that work with the two controllers bundled with our Quest 3s. Is there a filter mechanism I’m missing? Is there an index of titles that do NOT require other input devices? I was about to buy Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR but I’m cautious because I can’t tell if it is a VR controller only. Half-Life: Alyx works perfectly for me, as does the Half-Life 2 VR Mod. Any recommendations would be great.
Yes, look for exclusive VR games. The two you mentioned are VR supported but not exclusive. On Steam, there’s a banner in the description if the game works only with VR hardware.

You can usually tell by looking at gameplay. Cockpit games often don’t use motion controls (except for VTOL VR). Most human-controlled games will use motion controls. Skyrim VR supports them, but you should mod it to get the best experience. There’s a program called Wabbajack for that, and the FUS modlist is a good start. Also, Skyrim VR often goes on deep sales, so wait for a discount.
