Just got a PC for Christmas... need some help?

Hi everyone, I just got a PC for Christmas to run PCVR on my Quest 3 and I’m running into a few issues. First, when I use a cable and open the Meta app on my PC, none of my games show up. Second, when I’m using SteamVR to play Pavlov VR, the game is super jittery and a lot of textures aren’t loading, like player models and buildings. My setup includes a 3060 and Ryzen 5 5600x with 32GB DDR4 and a 650W PSU. Thanks for any help :pray:

I don’t know about the first problem, but with the second one, how is your router? I don’t know enough to actually help, but my new ISP-provided router wasn’t as good as my older one, even being in the same room. Your desktop should be plugged in via Ethernet, and you want the router close to where you’re playing.

He’s using a USB cable, not wireless, so how his Wi-Fi works doesn’t really matter.

Good point. I thought he was trying different setups. OP, how is the USB cable? Is it a cheap one, or meant for VR? But if you can get the wireless working, that’s great too.

It’s designed for VR, but it’s not the best. I tried wireless too, but it was way too laggy.

My router isn’t the newest, and I wasn’t connected to Ethernet while I did this. I might try again soon. Thanks so much for the suggestions.

If you plan to upgrade your PC later, that 650W PSU isn’t going to be very flexible. Just a heads up.

Honestly, PC stuff can be complicated and PCVR is even more so. The issues you’re having aren’t new. I’d suggest using the search function and trying multiple solutions. It’s good to use some basic critical thinking because people like AdamFaite might suggest things that don’t apply to your situation. Also, keep in mind that the Quest runs on Android while PCVR is on Windows, so you won’t see Quest games show up since they’re not from the same store. Some apps are cross-buy and you might find them for free in other stores, but not all apps do this.
