I just got the Quest 2, and I’m completely blown away. It’s almost 2 am, and I usually go to bed by 10 pm. I can’t believe what I’ve been missing out on!
The virtual environment is incredible. It’s a million times better than my small apartment living room. You can have three monitors or expand one into an ultra-wide screen! I love the cyberpunk and Japanese environments, and you can even scan your entire room, couch, and desk into it. Wow!
Echo VR is free? I can play this fantastic game for hours, and it feels like only 15 minutes have passed. The gameplay mechanics are challenging and require real skill. Balance, coordination, and timing matter in VR!
Even the training tutorial app was a blast. Picking things up, shooting, hitting, and throwing—it’s all so cool!
I also tried Tripp, which was trippy and amazing. The free demo was incredible, though I wish they displayed arms and legs. I hate subscriptions, so I might not stick with it, but the experience was worth it.
VR porn is top-notch, and it’s a dangerously addictive feature.
There are so many things left to try and so many free apps and games to play. I probably won’t need to buy any games for another year!
Sorry for this random review of a three-year-old product. My mind was racing, and I needed to write this down. It’s mind-blowing that most people I talk to have never experienced VR before. I was one of them!
VR might just ruin my life. I don’t want to go back to reality. I think my life has changed forever.
