Is there a program that scans items and displays their worth in real time?

I do junk removal and sometimes I try to resell items, but it takes a lot of research to figure out what’s worth money and what’s just trash. I was wondering if there’s any AR software that lets you wear goggles, and the glasses would scan items and show their worth in real time?

I know I might be a bit early to the AR party for something like this, but I’m just curious if it exists.

Have you tried Google Lens AI? It might help!

That’s what I’ve been using, but I’m looking for something I can wear that displays the value of items in real time while I’m working.

There are barely any devices with the hardware to do this. While the tech exists, it’s still early, and you might need to create your own solution.

From what I’ve seen, it looks like this could come to Android XR. I love Lens and see it as a main daily use case for me.

I think the Astra glasses might be able to do this since the AI can recognize objects, so you could ask it about them.

The Meta Ray-Bans are getting a live AI feature that will allow this soon. Right now, they can take a picture and identify objects, but they don’t give prices yet. They say it will be available soon, though.

There’s no reason this needs to be glasses. Maybe look for an app that just uses a regular phone camera?

I’d prefer something I can wear while working. It’s not efficient to stop and scan things with my phone when doing junk removal.

Fair point, but AR options are limited. You might have better luck finding an app or website that does this and see if it can run on AR hardware.

Yeah, I figured. I guess I’ll have to wait a few years for something practical.
