Hey, I was wondering if a G29 would work with VD on the Quest 3. I’m planning to get VD, and I saw a comment on YouTube saying their Logitech G29 doesn’t work with VD. Are there any settings I would have to adjust for it to work, or has no one else experienced this problem? Thanks for any help.
I can’t imagine it will connect with the headset but why do you need it to? It actually works when connected to the PC just fine.
You use VD or Meta Link for the connection from PC to the Quest. The steering wheel needs to be plugged into the PC, and then it will work with all PC racing games, regardless if you use VR or not. It will not work on the Quest itself.
No, it does not work. I tried it myself. While the game picked up a few inputs, which were totally wrong, it was not usable as the controller was not detected to be configured.
Gotcha, ok that makes sense. In that scenario, yeah, it would need to be compatible with the underlying Android OS.
How does VD interfere here? Why would a peripheral like a wheel, which is meant to be connected to the PC and managed by a game, not work because VD is in use? That sounds pretty weird.
Why do you need the wheel to be connected to the headset? Just connect the wheel to your PC and it should work as expected. The game is streamed to your Quest via VD, while the wheel is connected to your PC to control the game. I have a Thrustmaster T300RS and it works without issues while the game is being streamed via VD.
