Anyone have tips for using AR glasses with an iPad in class?

I’ve been thinking about how to take notes in class without looking down at my iPad and missing what’s on the whiteboard. I struggle with writing quickly and neatly, and it’s a real pain sometimes. I had this idea about using AR glasses or an HMD to stream my iPad screen onto them. This way, I could see my notes alongside the board, and I wouldn’t have to look away to write. I’m wondering if anyone has recommendations for a good AR device and any apps that could help with this. If there’s something for another tablet, I’m open to that too. I’d prefer something that won’t completely break the bank. Any suggestions?

That sounds like a cool idea. I think there are some AR glasses that can mirror your tablet screen. Have you looked into something like the Vuzix Blade? It’s pretty affordable compared to others.

I think it’s a great idea to use AR for classes. You might also want to check out the Microsoft HoloLens. It’s a bit pricier, but the functionality is really good.

I think you might also want to consider using apps that support screen mirroring. I’ve seen some people use AirPlay with Apple devices to mirror their screen to a smart display. That could work too.

I feel you on the note-taking struggle. Have you checked out any of the cheaper AR options like the Nreal Light? They’re supposed to be good for casual use.

This is an interesting idea. I’ve always thought about how cool it would be to take notes like that. Just make sure to check the compatibility with your iPad.
