So, I just saw that Survios tweeted about how they know there are issues with Alien Rogue Incursion and they’re planning to fix it. Honestly, I’m not gonna buy it until they do. Anyone else feel the same way? Seems like they really need to step it up.
I totally agree with you. The xenomorph spawn rates were way too high across all platforms. I played it on PSVR2, and aside from some janky moments retrieving ammo and stims from boxes, I actually enjoyed it. Finished the game a few days ago.
I’m really annoyed they didn’t include a toggle hold option. I have a hand injury, and it’s tough for me to keep my fingers over the side button without moving them. This game is basically unplayable for me now, and I can’t refund it. I’ve never seen a VR game without a toggle hold option.
I bought it on both PCVR and PSVR2 too. The PSVR2 version runs a lot smoother. My PC handles Half-Life Alyx just fine, but Rogue Incursion has some micro stutters and hitches every now and then. It’s not game-breaking, but it’s noticeable.
I played through the whole thing without any issues. What bugs are they talking about that need fixing?
There are some common progression blockers you can hit in the late game. It’s frustrating.
I hope they adjust the xeno spawn rate before I finally get around to playing it. I’m just working through my backlog right now, so I’m okay with waiting for updates to polish things up.
I mean, I’m not buying it until they fix the issues too. But honestly, it’s a lot of fun. Just saying.
I enjoyed it too, but I keep crashing in the medical bay every time I try to put the thing in. I really hope they prioritize fixing that crash.
I just finished Behemoth, so I’m definitely planning to buy this later in the month after they patch it. I want to explore the world and enjoy the graphics without having to fight all the time. I don’t mind shooting, but I keep hearing that aspect of the game isn’t well-received.
I wrapped it up on New Year’s Eve, so it was my final game for 2024. I was hesitant to buy it originally since early reviews said it was worse than Alien: Isolation, but I’m glad I did—it ended up being my second favorite game of the year. I played on a really good laptop, and aside from a few hiccups, it was a smooth experience. It’s wild that people with higher-end GPUs are having worse performance than me.
Yeah, Isolation is not a sequel to this game. It’s more of a sequel to the comics that Zula appears in, though it does reference Isolation a few times.
It’s too bad Survios didn’t mention anything about whether the alien spawns are influenced by player actions. I thought they were supposed to spawn less if you’re sneaky. Seems like they missed the mark on that feedback.
Wait, what’s wrong with it? I think it’s fine over here.
They must have lost a lot of talent. They used to release new stuff all the time, but now it feels like we’re waiting forever for updates.
It’s a good game but definitely had a rough launch. I hope they can turn it around.
Are they even fixing the acid for blood mechanics? I noticed the blood just evaporates like spilled milk.
I hope they fix the blurry TAA. I already emailed them my solution.
