Are there any birdbath glasses that have a wide FOV and are also bright? If not, are there any companies making something similar to Meta’s Meta 2s? Or maybe something like the Leap Motion project Polaris? Just trying to explore my options here… any thoughts?
There aren’t many companies left with bug eye or large curved mirror optics. However, you can still get them from Ximmerse (like the Rhino X, X Pro, and X2) and EZXR with their AR Glasses. There are also different versions based on Project North Star.
Ant Reality is still working on wide FOV AR glasses, but IDK if they’re available for purchase yet. FYI, check this link for more info: https://exhibitors.cioe.cn/yqhen/yqh.html?zsid=54711.
Thanks for the info! What does FOV mean exactly? I keep seeing it but not sure what it stands for.
Oh, FOV stands for Field of View. It’s basically how much you can see through the glasses at once. Wider FOV means a better view.
I heard the Ximmerse models are pretty good for the price. Has anyone tried them?
Yeah, I’ve tried the Rhino X, and it was decent for the price. The FOV is nice, but you might want to check reviews for the latest updates.
What about the weight of these glasses? Are they comfortable for long use?
I think it varies by model. The Rhino X is lighter than the older models, but comfort can be subjective. Always good to try them on if possible.
I’ve been looking for something similar. Anyone know if Leap Motion is still a thing?
I believe it is, but I think they’re focusing more on hand tracking tech than AR glasses. Still, their tech is pretty cool.
Thanks for all the insights, everyone! This is super helpful as I try to make a decision.
