I created a demo using ordinary objects, focusing on pulling, placing, and expanding items on a table with the watch and glasses combo. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this setup.
Gonna put this as politely as I can… that’s freaking brilliant!
Haha thanks mate! Agree, this feels super nice!
Impressive! Are you using Meta Quest 3 or other hardware for this demo?
This one is done on a Meta Quest 3. Ordinary Objects also supports iOS.
Great! What use cases are you envisioning for this kind of scene rendition?
We’ve built a general-purpose AR design tool. Hoping that the features enable people to create prototypes for existing and new spatial experiences! Here Gregor is showing a possible interaction with wearables.
You should use the clock’s inputs as tactile precision input. Some watches have a large dial around the watch face, which could offer nice control methods.
Great idea! Light haptic feedback through the watch when rotating with hand tracking would be ultra immersive
I mean use the actual buttons and touch on the clock. VR lacks tactile precision controls. A large dial gives you precise control instead of just floating your hand in the air.
Gotcha, yeah that would be the other way around. Smart to keep controls familiar but vastly extend the output!
At first glance, it seemed like a Ben10 watch to me
